Motorcycle Crash Kills Fox Lake Man

November 18, 2005

A 59-year-old Fox Lake man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Wisconsin. Kenneth G. Brenner was killed after he was knocked from his 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it collided with a 1992 Ford E250 van at Routes K and 75 in Kenosha County, police said.

Brenner was heading north on Route 75 at 2:41 p.m. when the van driven by Randy C. Thurin of 32200 45th St., Lot 325, Wheatland Township, Wis., pulled in front of Brenner heading east on Route K, police said. Brenner struck the rear passenger side of the van at a high rate of speed and was thrown from the motorcycle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Kenosha County medical examiner's office. Kenosha County Medical Examiner Mary Mainland said Brenner died of severe head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet. Thurin was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign. Police said Thurin said he never saw the motorcycle.
