Two-car Crash Sends One To Hospital

September 7, 2005

The White County Sheriff's Department reported that a two-vehicle crash on a rural road about four miles east of Norris City about 12:05 p.m. Saturday sent one passenger to the local hospital with minor injuries.

Jarred Bolin, 20, 702 County Road 1275 East, Carmi, with a passenger named Heather J. McVay, 18, Norris City, crashed into a vehicle driven by Randall E. Newman, 42, 1008 Oak St., Carmi.

Bolin and Newman were not injured, nor was second passenger in the Bolin vehicle, 18-year-old Geoffrey S. Ward, Carmi. Bolin was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection, failure to wear a seat belt and having no valid registration.
