Police Investigate New Lead In Fatal Hit And Run

There may be a new lead in an unsolved hit and run accident on the South Side.

Fifteen-year-old Edward Lucas was struck and killed last Thursday, September 22, at Vincennes and 109th Street.

This morning, September 27, detectives say an abandoned Cadillac STS is being checked out by the Chicago crime lab to see if it is the vehicle involved in the accident.

The Cadillac has front end damage and had been reported missing.

It was found over the weekend in the same area as the accident.

Lucas was a sophomore at Morgan Park High School.
