Mcdonough County Woman Hurt In Crash
March 24, 2006
According to Illinois State Police, a McDonough County woman was hospitalized Friday after her sport utility vehicle struck a Mack truck east of Blandinsville.
Paula J. Snowden, 41, of Blandinsville was reported in fair condition Friday night at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Snowden was injured at 10:20 a.m. Friday on Illinois Route 9 and McDonough County Road 550 East.
The truck driver, Larry E. Estes, 66, of Stronghurst was not hurt, police said.
The accident occurred when Estes, eastbound on Route 9, was trying to turn right onto the county road. Snowden, directly behind Estes, failed to stop and her Chevy TrailBlazer struck the rig in the intersection, police said.
The accident remains under investigation.
